CEO's Message
Q2 Report from CIDQ CEO
Greetings! I hope spring flowers are blooming, and birds are chirping wherever you are. In addition to the beauty of nature, and bringing almost as much joy, April also marks the administration of the NCIDQ Exam. We are excited to welcome a new group of NCIDQ Certificate holders following the completion of the April exam window.
While the October exam administration still awaits, our exam committees are hard at work preparing for the next iteration of the NCIDQ Exam which will launch in the spring of 2026. This upcoming exam will utilize new blueprints developed from the 2024 Practice Analysis conducted last fall. Along with content updates, the new NCIDQ Exam format will organize each of the three exam sections according to specific phases of a design project. Additionally, all sections will now include innovative item types (such as hot spot, drag and place, fill in the blank, etc.) alongside traditional multiple-choice questions.
We are also relaunching CIDQ’s public awareness campaigns, which were piloted last fall, and these will continue throughout the spring. Our messaging will be shared across National Public Radio (NPR) stations and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). We were pleased with the response to the pilot program and believe that this unprecedented public education and promotion of the qualifications and contributions of NCIDQ Certificate holders is vital for securing reasonable and universal regulation of the profession, benefiting the public.
Lastly, this will be my final Q Connection CEO message before my retirement at the end of the month. It has been a great ride! Thank you for your unwavering support of this organization and the NCIDQ Exam. Onward!
