CEO's Message
Q3 Report from CIDQ CEO
I’d like to start by expressing my gratitude to the CIDQ community for the warm welcome I have received. My experience so far tells me that this is a strong, vibrant, and encouraging community.
I have only been with CIDQ since May 1, but have experienced such a great and exciting start to the role. In my brief time here, working with the Board of Directors, the HQ team, and allied organizations has highlighted the emphasis on collaboration and support for one another, which has been incredibly encouraging.
Over the last several weeks, I have been diligently reading and studying all about CIDQ, and while it has been a lot to consume, the grace and support I have received while I learn have reaffirmed that joining the CIDQ family was a great decision.
My summer travel schedule, or as I like to call it, ‘my listening tour’, will allow me to have a whirlwind introduction to, and deeper learning of, the CIDQ community and important stakeholders, including NeoCon, IIDA, ASID, Federation of Association of Regulatory Boards (FARB), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), and the Interorganizational Council on Regulation (ICOR). While I have had some exposure to these organizations through my previous role with the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB), I look forward to continuing to foster these partnerships in my role with CIDQ.
I have also been lucky enough to schedule a few virtual introductions with some of our member boards during their upcoming meetings, and I would love to continue to add additional introduction opportunities as they become available.
The excitement following CIDQ’s 50th anniversary celebration still rings through the community, and I am excited about what lies ahead. Thank you again for such a warm welcome, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
